| Restrictions |
In order to participate in this study you must:
1. Have normal or corrected to normal (glasses, contacts) vision AND
2. Be between the ages of 18 and 29.
3. You cannot participate in this study more than once.
In addition, you must belong to one of the following three groups:
Group 1: You are...
1. Caucasian AND
2. Of Hispanic, Southern or Eastern European ancestry AND
3. First generation or second generation Canadian (lived in Canada for more than 1 year OR you were born in Canada and both your parents were immigrants) AND
4. Speak your parents’ mother tongue in addition to English AND
5. You do not speak more than two languages, regardless of fluency.
Group 2: You are...
1. Asian AND
2. Arrived in Canada WITHIN the last 12 months AND
3. Speak your parents’ mother tongue in addition to English AND
4. You have not travelled abroad for more than 1 year.
Group 3: You are...
1. Caucasian AND
2. Born in Canada AND
3. Grandparents and parents born in Canada AND
4. English is your only language AND
5. You do not speak more than one language, regardless of fluency.
